Pratibimb Foundation was established in July 2012 and registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, with registration number 478/2012–13. The organisation was initially established to support Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in strengthening their capacities and contributing to social development. Over time, through its experience and engagement with development challenges, the Foundation recognised the need to work directly with communities to bring meaningful and sustainable social change, particularly in the areas of education, youth development, and community empowerment.

Building on this grassroots-oriented vision and its experience in the development sector, Pratibimb Charitable Foundation was incorporated as a not-for-profit company under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, in September 2019, with Corporate Identity Number (CIN) U80904UP2019NPL121189. This transition was driven by the recognition that many underserved communities and geographical areas required focused interventions to address their educational and social development needs.

Today, Pratibimb Charitable Foundation builds on the legacy and foundational experience of Pratibimb Foundation, working directly with children, youth, adolescent girls, schools, and communities to improve access to quality education, promote youth development, empower adolescent girls, and strengthen community participation. Through grassroots initiatives, institutional partnerships, and community engagement, the Foundation strives to create inclusive opportunities and contribute to lasting social change.

Pratibimb Foundation builds a more equitable society where every child, young person, and woman can learn, grow, and thrive. Across Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, we strengthen government schools through child-centred learning, empower adolescent girls through the SAKSHAM Project, and prepare youth with skills, career guidance, and livelihood opportunities. Working hand in hand with schools, communities, and government partners, we build lasting change and give people the knowledge and confidence to shape their own futures.
